GALLATIN, Tenn. – Authorities in Sumner County are investigating after two sexual assaults were reported during home invasions in the past week.
The most recent happened Thursday night around 11 p.m. on Jill Street in Gallatin. The first happened Tuesday night around the same time in the Castalian Springs area.
In both cases, two men entered homes during the night, raped the female victims, robbed the homes, and fled the scene.
Investigators with Gallatin Police and the Sumner County Sheriff's Department said details in the two cases lead them to believe the crimes are related.
Gallatin police warned home owners to keep their homes locked and be certain of anyone at their door that is uninvited.
