Dolly Parton announces new ride dressed as Splash Woman.

PIGEON FORGE, Tenn.- Saturday, Dolly Parton made another big announcement for her chain of parks. Tennessee's first water roller coaster is on its way.

Dressed as "Splash Woman," Parton announced the new ride Saturday at the Splash'n Safari Park in Pigeon Forge. Set to open in May next year, River Rush is based on a new generation of water coasters that combines new technology to give it climbs, drops, twists and turns. River Rush will measure nearly 1200 feet long and will include a 45-degree drop.
