Clarksville Police Arrest Big Lots Robber

CLARKSVILLE, Tenn.- Clarksville Police have arrested the man accused of robbing a Big Lots store on Monday morning.

Police said an investigation led to detectives identifying Derek Allen Brown, 35, as the man who robbed Big Lots on Riverside Drive. Officials said Brown walked into the store on South Riverside around 9:45 a.m., displayed a handgun, and demanded money from the clerk. After receiving cash, he fled the store on foot.

Brown was arrested Wednesday afternoon without incident at the Sudden Service station on Highway 41A South in Clarksville. Police said he admitted to robbing the store.
