HOPKINSVILLE, Ky. – A half dozen guns were stolen from a pawnshop in Hopkinsville, Kentucky, and now police worry the weapons will end up on the streets.
The owner of the store on east Sixth Street told police someone broke into his business and stole a double-barrel shotgun, two New England Arms 12 gauge shotguns, two Remington rifles and a Mossberg .270 rifle.
In all, the weapons were valued at several thousand dollars.
Police are concerned the guns could be resold and/or end up in the hands of gang members.
Fortunately, none of the weapons have been used in any crimes yet.
Officers are canvassing the area, and ask that anyone with information about the whereabouts of the guns contact Hopkinsville police.
