FRANKLIN, Tenn. – A man was arrested on his third DUI charge after a concerned motorist called to report a possible impaired motorist on I-65 North in Franklin.

Officers stopped 51-year-old Kenneth Jeffrey Brooks, from Lewisburg, near McEwen Drive around 1:40 a.m. Wednesday after observing his car was unable to stay in his lane. Officers arrested Brooks after observing he was impaired.

Police said the Jeep he was driving had suffered damage in a recent collision with a sign. Both fender flares and an outside mirror were missing, as well as a hole in the roof and damage to the driver's side door.

Another driver suffered a blown out tire after hitting the sign pole that Brooks allegedly hit.

He was released on Wednesday night after posting $14,000 bond. A court date was scheduled for June 28.
