Man Injured In Hit-And-Run Crash Transferred To Hospice

NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Police said a pedestrian who was critically injured in a hit-and-run crash earlier this month is not expected to survive.

Police said 68-year-old James Houchin has been transferred to hospice care.

Houchin was hit while crossing Old Hickory Boulevard at Delaware Avenue on the evening of June 9. The driver of the Chevy Impala did not stop and continued to travel west on Old Hickory Boulevard.

Witnesses told police the Impala had front end damage including a broken headlight.

Anyone with information is asked to call crash investigators at 862-7738 or Crime Stoppers at 74-CRIME.
