NASHVILLE, Tenn.- Metro's Board of Zoning Appeals has decided to defer a vote on a controversial landfill in Bellevue.
The proposed landfill would go on a piece of property just west of the Thousand Oaks Estates on a section of Charlotte Pike that sits in between two curves, but some neighbors were concerned about traffic, and a big impact on their property values.
A public hearing on the landfill was held on Thursday afternoon.
"I want to make it crystal clear that my opposition is clearing in sync with that of the neighbors. Had anyone weighed in with me prior to May 29th you wouldn't have those support letter in your file," said Sheri Weiner, a Metro District 22 Council member.
Zoning officials say they want to get the results of a traffic study, and get more input from public works.
