NASHVILLE, Tenn.- A group of retirees from AT&T put their extra time to good use for a good cause this week.
On Thursday, they presented 300 handcrafted teddy bears to the Nashville Fire Department, and Metro EMS. These bears will be given to sick and injured children being taken by ambulance to the emergency room, to help comfort them.
In the past 11 years the AT&T retiree volunteers have donated 11,000 teddy bears. And get this: they can create a bear every half hour.
