CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. - Two men have been arrested for a violent armed robbery of a market in Clarksville.
Daniel Gonzalez, 22, and Nicholas Allan Reed, 33, were charged with aggravated robbery.
Investigators said the pair went into the Chapala Market and Restaurant on Fort Campbell Boulevard around 10 p.m. on Wednesday. One was armed with a shotgun, and the other had a pistol. Both were wearing masks.
They demanded money from three female employees. At some point, Gonzalez fired a shot into the ceiling, and the employees were forced to kneel down. The robbers stole money from the business, as well as the victims' purses and jewelry.
They fled the scene.
Police said leads led to the arrest of the men at their homes. They recovered stolen property from the robbery inside Reed's home. Police said both men admitted to taking part in the robbery.
Gonzalez and Reed were booked into Montgomery County Jail. Gonzalez was held on $250,000 bond, and Reed was held on $51,000 bond.
