HENDERSONVILLE, Tenn.- Felix Reyes, Jr. is being charged with DUI and filing a false report in connection with a car crash in Hendersonville Friday night.

Police say Reyes crashed his vehicle on Vietnam Veterans Blvd just after 7:30 p.m. Eastbound lanes of Vietnam Veterans Boulevard were shut down while crews worked to clear the scene. Police said that it was a single car wreck, in which the car left the roadway, went down an embankment and turned over in a creek.

Officials said the male driver of the car told them that the woman riding with him in the car had a head injury and wandered away from the scene of the accident. Officers brought out bloodhounds and called a Vanderbilt Emergency Medical Helicopter to be on stand-by.  About two hours after the crash, police discovered the missing woman alive and well at her home in Goodlettsville.

Officials said alcohol played a role in the crash.
