HENDERSONVILLE, Tenn. - He's known for running one of the most popular haunted houses in the area, and now he's accused of stealing electricity to do it.
Terry Carter, the owner of Death Valley Haunted Woods in Hendersonville, will go before a judge Monday accused of stealing more than $60,000 worth of electricity.
Police said Carter also runs an electrical repair business called Hendersonville Electric Service and that his knowledge enabled him to bypass utility charges.
Nashville Electric Service accused Carter of stealing electricity for nearly six years.
