COOKEVILLE, Tenn.- An accused thief threatened police with his dog when they approached him at his home.
Cookeville Police went to Kenny Hammonds' house to serve an arrest warrant when the officer says he answered the door holding a large pit bull. The officer pulled out a stun gun and demanded the dog be put in another room.
Hammonds complied and was arrested. He's accused of stealing several metal items from a local business and selling it for scrap.
Gary Ealey was also arrested for helping with that same theft.
