Body Of Missing Boater Recovered From Beech River - NewsChannel5.com | Nashville News, Weather & Sports

DECATUR COUNTY, Tenn. – Authorities in Decatur County said they have recovered the body of a missing boater on the Beech River.

The body of 69-year-old Julian Holmes was found in the river around 10 a.m. Monday. His boat was found overturned on the river on Sunday afternoon. He had gone fishing, and his family became concerned when he didn't return.

Search crews worked for 14-hours to locate Holmes. 

Authorities with the Decatur County Sheriff's Office, Perry County Sheriff's Office, and the Tennessee Highway Patrol assisted with the search and recovery. 

It was unclear if an autopsy will be performed, according to authorities.
