Maurice Antonio Deloatch
CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. – Police in Clarksville said a man in a wheelchair was robbed in his home of about $800 in cash, credit cards, diabetes medicine and drugs.
Officers said the 51-year-old victim, whose name was not released, was robbed around 2 p.m. Sunday by two men posing as sports magazine sellers. He let them into his home, but then one of them pulled out a gun and pointed it at the man's head.
The other man then went through the home, stealing the victim's wallet, credit cards, cash, oxycodone and diabetes medicine.
The suspects fled the scene in an older model vehicle. A car matching the description was found two hours later at an apartment complex on Old Russellville Pike.
Police followed leads that led to the arrest of 24-year-old Maurice Antonio Deloatch on aggravated robbery charges. He was booked into the Montgomery County Jail with bond set at $10,000. Deloatch has a lengthy criminal history, and was serving two years probation on burglary and theft charges.
A second suspect was being sought Monday. He was described as an 18 or 19 year old black male, with short hair and clean shaven.
The victim was not hurt.
