CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. – A man, charged with aggravated robbery, was cited on drug and weapon charges the same day he was released on bond.

An officer made a traffic stop around 9:30 p.m. Monday on B Street and Beech Street. The officer smelled marijuana in the car, and found the driver, Justin Tyra, had a suspended license.

The passenger, Maury Deloatch, had been released from jail around 2:30 a.m. Monday on an aggravated robbery charge. In that case, Deloatch was one of two men who allegedly robbed a wheelchair-bound man at his home while posing as sports magazine sellers.

Police discovered marijuana during a search of the car. They also found that Deloatch had hidden a bag of marijuana in his crotch, and had eaten it during the course of the traffic stop. A gun found inside the vehicle was also linked to Deloatch.

Deloatch was cited for simple possession and unlawful carrying of a deadly weapon.

Tyra was cited for driving on a suspended license and simple possession.
