MUFREESBORO, Tenn.- A man was shot in the back in Murfreesboro Tuesday afternoon.

Police said the shooting happened at a home on Forrest Street around 2:30 p.m. The man was shot, but was driven by a female friend as far as Meadowbrook Road. An ambulance was called to take the victim to the local hospital.

The victim's name and age were not released. His condition was unknown.

Officials said that three persons of interest have been identified although no names have been released.
