Police: Woman Says Neighbor Assaulted Her In Front Of Child

FRANKLIN, Tenn. – A Franklin man was arrested after a woman told police that he assaulted her when she went to his home for help.

Donald Crawford, 59, was charged with sexual battery. Police said a 30-year-old woman told police she went to his apartment, with her two-year-old child, to ask for help after she was locked out of her apartment on Del Rio Pike on Tuesday night.

She said after calling her husband, Crawford grabbed her shirt , pulled it down, and exposed her bra while making lewd sexual comments.

Crawford remained in custody Wednesday afternoon on $20,000 bond.
