MTSU, Turkish University To Become Partners

Posted: Updated:

MURFREESBORO, Tenn. (AP) - Middle Tennessee State University is making final arrangements for an academic and cultural exchange with Meliksah University in Turkey.

Meliksah, founded in 2008, has about 2,000 students. It's known as a research center with an emphasis on mechanical engineering, science and economics.

The agreement would allow third-year students from Turkey to finish their studies at MTSU and earn degrees from both institutions. It also would allow for faculty and staff exchanges and cultural opportunities between the two.

Meliksah, in Kayseri, is one of our four universities serving the Anatolia region of Turkey.
