FRANKLIN, Tenn.- The city of Franklin has asked residents to
conserve water in response to drought conditions in the area.
In Franklin, officials said the
city rain gauge has registered 0.6 inches of rain for
the month of June.
Officials
have asked residents to stop washing sidewalks and driveways, stop filling
swimming pools or watering landscaped areas and grass. Residents have also been
asked to stop washing cars, boats.
Up-to-date information will be posted on
Franklin TV (Comcast Channel 10 and AT&T U-verse Channel 99) and on the
City's website (www.franklintn.gov). Updates will also be available through Facebook and Twitter.
The voluntary water conservation will remain in
effect until further notice.
