One Person Shot Near MTSU's Campus - NewsChannel5.com | Nashville News, Weather & Sports

MURFREESBORO, Tenn. - Murfreesboro Police investigated a shooting near Middle Tennessee State University where one person was shot.

The shooting occurred a little after one a.m. Sunday morning at an apartment complex on Fairview Avenue. Neighbors said there seemed to have been a large party at the complex earlier in the night. Following the shooting, residents were told to stay in their homes because officers were still looking for the gunman.

Police had not released any information as to whether or not the gunman had been caught.

The shooting victim suffered non-life threatening injuries and was taken to the hospital. It was not known if the victim had been released.
