MURFREESBORO, Tenn. - The Murfreesboro City Council voted Monday morning to temporarily ban fireworks inside city limits due to the dry conditions.
The City Council met in a special meeting at 7 a.m. to debate the issue.
The city's fireworks show will still be held on the Fourth of July at McKnight Park.
Last week, the city of La Vergne in Rutherford County chose to ban fireworks due to the excessive heat and dry conditions.
