Man Fatally Shot During Argument

LEXINGTON, Ky. (AP) -- A 50-year-old man has been charged with murder after fatally shooting another man during a campsite argument in Pulaski County.

According to WKYT-TV the shooting took place late Saturday night on the banks of Fishing Creek in the Oil Center area.

Police say 34-year-old Eric Scott Pitman died at the scene. An autopsy is being performed on his body.

The shooter, Carl Smittle Jr., remains in jail. Police have not said what sparked the argument.
