CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. - Clarksville Police said a man left his dog locked in a hot car for 45 minutes, in triple-digit temperatures.

A passerby spotted the pooch in a car at Walmart on Fort Campbell Boulevard and called police. An officer tracked down the owner, Durrell Hoosier, who said he'd only left the dog alone for a few minutes.

A review of the store's security cameras showed the dog in the car with no air conditioning for 45 minutes. Hoosier was issued a citation for animal cruelty.
