Two People Ejected In Crash With Tractor Trailer - NewsChannel5.com | Nashville News, Weather & Sports

NASHVILLE, Tenn.- Two people were ejected from a utility truck after a crash on State Route 840, just outside of Nashville.

The crash happened near mile marker 33, just after 5:30 p.m. Monday. Officials with the Tennessee Highway Patrol said that the crash involved a tractor trailer from Ike Transportation out of Murfreesboro and a small utility truck.

Early reports indicated that the two occupants in the small utility truck both were ejected from the vehicle and taken by ambulance to Vanderbilt University Medical Center. Officials said that neither occupant had their seat belt on. 

Westbound lanes of 840 were closed while crews worked to clear the scene.
