Extreme Heat To Blame For Homeless Man’s Death

Posted: Updated:

NASHVILLE, Tenn.- Extreme heat is believed to be the cause of death of the 57-year-old Nashville homeless man over the weekend.

Police said that 57-year-old Kenneth Carpenter was found dead at noon Sunday inside a storage unit he rented at CubeSmart on Murfreesboro Pike. Officials said that Carpenter's body temperature at the scene yesterday was 104 degrees.

The Medical Examiner's Office believes the extreme heat was a factor in Carpenter's death.
