CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. – Thousands have been left without power in Clarksville after a thunderstorm moved through the area Wednesday.
The Clarksville Department of Energy's manager of energy services, Jim Manning, confirmed there were about 7,000 customers without electricity at the height of the storm.
By 9:12 p.m. crews have restored service to around 5,000 homes. There were still about 2,000 without power.
Manning said crews would be working through the night to restore power to the remaining customers.
