Columbia Police Seek Help In Identifying Robbery Suspect

COLUMBIA, Tenn.- Police in Columbia have asked for the public's help to identify a man who held up a local convenience store at gunpoint.

The robbery took place just after eleven o'clock on July 4. Officials said that the robber came into the Quick Mart Store on Trotwood Avenue in Columbia, pulled out a handgun and demanded money from the clerk.

The clerk handed the suspect the money. He then fled the scene.

Police said the suspect was wearing a "painter's style" mask. He was described as being about around five-foot-six and weighing about 180 pounds.
