MURFREESBORO, Tenn. – A lightning strike did minimal damage to an apartment complex in Murfreesboro on Thursday night.
Four Murfreesboro Fire & Rescue Department units responded to Stoneridge Farms at Hillwood on Hillwood Boulevard around 7 p.m. No fire was found.
The strike struck a dormer of building 6, then spread into the roof line, leaving two softball sized holes in the roof.
Electrical wires were charred and melted, and alarm systems were knocked out for buildings 6 and 15.
No one was hurt.
