One Person Hurt After Vehicle Is Struck By Train

WILLIAMSON COUNTY, Tenn.- Officials with the Williamson County Sheriff's Department said that one person was injured after a train struck a car Friday evening.

It happened in the 6600 block of Newtown Road in Williamson County just after 6:30 p.m. Police said that one person was taken by emergency medical helicopter to Vanderbilt University Medical Center.

It was unclear what caused the car to move onto the tracks.
