NASHVILLE, Tenn.- A 10-year-old girl died Saturday after being pulled from the water at Percy Priest Lake.
Investigators with the Metropolitan Nashville Police said 10-year-old Gisela Salvador was swimming with others outside of the designated swim zone at the Cook Recreational Complex when she went under. Police said she was discovered in deep water at 2:25 p.m. and unconscious when she was pulled from the lake.
Emergency crews rushed to the scene, and she was taken to Summit Medical Center. She was then taken by LifeFlight to Monroe Carell Jr. Children's Hospital at Vanderbilt where she was pronounced dead.
