KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (AP) - Authorities said three members of an Atlanta family were killed in a weekend crash in the Knoxville area.
The Tennessee Highway Patrol told the Knoxville News Sentinel that the three were killed when a Ford Ranger went into the oncoming lane and struck a Honda Civil early Saturday.
According to the highway patrol, killed in the crash were the driver of the Honda, 26-year-old Ashish Dembla, and back-seat passengers 57-year-old Satpal Dembla and 52-year-old Anjali Dembla, all of Atlanta.
Authorities said the driver of the Ford, 27-year-old Shaun R. Dunlap of Maryville, and the front-seat passenger of the Honda were airlifted to the University of Tennessee Medical Center.
