WILSON COUNTY, Tenn. – A combination of bug bombs and an oil lamp are believed to have caused a fire that destroyed a manufactured home in Wilson County.
The fire broke out on just after noon Monday at the home at 75 Osborne Road, near Sherrilltown Road in Watertwon.
Fire officials said the home was being rented out, and had no electricity. A woman had set off a bug bomb inside the home, and it ignited an oil lamp being used to light the home.
The fire spread, but the woman was able to get out safely.
Officials said the recent rain helped, because the grass around the place didn't catch fire and spread.
