NASHVILLE, Tenn.- One local school is making it easier for out-of-state students to attend.
Officials for the Tennessee State University announced a new "Scholar Tuition Rate" on Monday. The new program which will be available beginning the 2012-2013 academic school year, allows students who qualify to receive a discounted tuition rate.
To be considered future undergrads must have 3.0 GPA and an ACT score of 21 or an SAT score of 980. Returning students must have at least a 3.0 GPA. School officials said that no application will be required to receive the discounted rate, access will be automatically assessed.
