FRANKLIN, Tenn. – Police in Franklin are searching for a man wanted for allegedly stealing money from church donation boxes.
Franklin Police said a man allegedly walked into a Franklin church and stole several hundred dollars from two donation boxes on June 17.
On June 23, an officer spotted a man who matched the suspect's description and questioned him. He was let go, but police later discovered he used his deceased brother's identity during questioning.
Police are now searching for 52-year-old Gregory Andrews on theft and criminal impersonation charges. Police said he is homeless and may be staying in a green 2000 Chevrolet 4-door with Virginia Registration XGG 2867.
He has the name "Sara" tattooed on his left arm. He may also use John Douglas Andrews as an alias.
