Groups Team Up To Provide Food Boxes For Families

Posted: Updated:

NASHVILLE, Tenn. - Four local groups have teamed up to help thousands of families in need.

Nashville Family Church, 1GenAway, Feed America First and Feed the Children will be providing 1,200 food boxes with non-perishable food to families in Nashville and Franklin on Wednesday.

The first distribution will take place at the New Livingstone Baptist Church at 330 Hancock Street from 9 to 11 a.m.

The second will be from noon to 2 p.m. at the Old Alexander Car Dealership at 305 Hillsboro Road in Franklin.

Before you can pick up food in Franklin, you will need to get a food voucher at the Mid-Cumberland Community Action Agency at 120 Fowlkes Street in Franklin.

They need volunteers to help them distribute the food. If you'd like to participate, the only thing they ask is that you show up half-an-hour prior to the event.
