CADIZ, Ky. (AP) - Bugs, snakes, turtles, fish and other crawling critters will be the stars of the show at Land Between The Lakes National Recreation Area during an event this weekend for young people.

The program called Cool & Crawly Critters Day takes place from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. CDT Saturday at Woodlands Nature Station. It's especially suited for children ages 5 to 12, with activities going on throughout the day. Admission is $3 for 5- to 12-year-olds, $4 for older and free for 4 and younger.

Land Between The Lakes said scientists and naturalists will conduct programs and answer questions, and Smokey Bear is expected to pay a visit.
