NASHVILLE, Tenn.- Hundreds of aspiring actors showed up for their shot at representing Music City as an extra on an upcoming television show.
The casting call was held Saturday at Franklin Industries for the ABC/Lionsgate series Nashville.
"Well country's becoming so much more popular these days. I think having a TV show about Nashville and country music is a great opportunity too for the city," said Victoria Dodson, a local woman who auditioned.
Casting directors invited all ages, genders, and ethnicities to apply. They're looking to make the show as authentic as possible, so what better way to do it than having real Nashvillians as extras.
Shooting for the series is expected to start at the end of this month.
