NASHVILLE, Tenn. - Metro police responded to two different incidents at the same apartment complex in south Nashville. It happened at the Nob Villa Apartments off Wallace Road near Harding Place and Interstate 24.
The first incident happened around 11:30 p.m. Police said a masked man armed with a knife walked into an apartment through an open door, stole two purses and then fled.
No one was injured, but police say two women and two children were home at the time. The burglar was last seen wearing a green long sleeved shirt with a black scarf over his face.
The second incident happened a few hours later around 2:00 a.m. A man was sent to the hospital after an attempted robbery that led to a shooting.
Police said two men were walking to their apartment when they were approached by three men, one of whom was masked and armed. The three tried to rob the men, but the victims managed to get away. Then the masked man with the gun, shot one of the victims in the leg.
The victim was taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries. The three would be robbers are still on the loose.
