SMYRNA, Tenn. – Police have identified the man whose body was found at a boat ramp on Percy Priest Lake in Smyrna over the weekend.

On Saturday morning, TWRA officials discovered the body of 38-year-old Steven Eugene Carlton, of Murfreesboro, on the West Fork Recreation Area. Smyrna Police and the Rutherford County Sheriff's Department responded and began investigating.

Police arrested Carlton's girlfriend and her son in connection with the murder. Police believe Carlton was shot to death at Christina Rosa Magaddino's apartment in Smryna.

Magaddino, 36, was charged with accessory to murder after the fact, tampering with evidence and abuse of a corpse. Her son, 20-year-old Ryan Allen Roe, was charged with first degree murder, tampering with evidence and abuse of a corpse.

Their initial appearance was scheduled for Tuesday, and there was no indication either had hired an attorney.
