MURFREESBORO, Tenn.- A pop-up summer storm rocked the city of Murfreesboro Monday afternoon.
Residents reported seeing pea-sized hail and damaging winds up to 70mph around 6:30 p.m. Several trees were knocked down and at least one home was damaged in a lightning strike. The area of town that saw the most damage appeared to be near Siegel High School and in the Regenwood & Regency Park subdivisions.
No injuries were reported.
