CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. - It could well be the most dangerous stretch of road in the mid-state. Clarksville Police said they've responded to more than 320 wrecks on Fort Campbell Boulevard this year alone.
The city has made improvements on the road for pedestrians, after six people were killed trying to cross the road. State grants paid for new crosswalks, signals, and countdown timers.
Clarksville Police are getting in on the act. On Tuesday they announced they were stepping up patrols between Second Street and Stateline Road in hopes of lowering the number of crashes.
