NASHVILLE, Tenn. - Police said they have identified a person of interest in the shooting of a father and son at a Hermitage apartment complex.

Police were called around 8:35 p.m. Tuesday to an apartment complex on Burning Tree Drive.

Officials said an altercation broke out between two men outside of an apartment. One man pulled out a gun, and the victim attempted to gain control of the gun when it discharged, striking him in the head.

When the man's son heard the argument, he came outside and was shot in the chest.

Both father and son were transported to Vanderbilt University Medical Center with non-life-threatening injuries. The names of the victims were not released.

Police said they have identified a person of interest, but no arrests have been made.
