Man Burned In Brush Fired Succumbs To Injuries

HENDERSONVILLE, Tenn.- A man who was severely burned by an out of control brush fire has died.

The three acre brush fire happened Monday afternoon on Forest Retreat Road. When crews from the Hendersonville Fire and Rescue arrived they found a man against a tree with burns to over half of his body. The man was later identified as Doctor Nevin Downs of Hendersonville.

Doctor Downs died Wednesday as a result of his injuries.

Visitation will be held Saturday, July 21 from 1 until 3 o'clock at First Baptist Church in Nashville.

Services will be after that.
