NASHVILLE, Tenn.- A war of words over a nearly $1,800 car repair bill landed one of Nashville Mayor Karl Dean's former political aides in jail.
Derrick Tibbs has been charged with felony theft, and theft of services after Auto repair shop Precision Autohaus said workers fixed Tibbs' car on June 13th. They said Tibbs took his car keys and drove off without paying, and when an employee called to ask for payment, Tibbs reportedly said it was quote "not going to happen."
Tibbs served as a political director for Mayor Dean's re-election campaign last year.
