Accused Killer Wanted In Alabama Arrested In Columbia

COLUMBIA, Tenn. - An accused killer on the run from Alabama was caught in Columbia.

A tip led Columbia Police and US Marshals to 22-year-old Isaac Surles in a shopping center parking lot.

Surles was accused of murdering a man in Talladega County, Alabama and stealing his car. He had been on the run for the past week and was considered armed and dangerous.

Surles will now be sent back to Alabama to face charges.

Authorities credited Columbia Police for their quick work and cooperation in catching a dangerous fugitive.
