Craig BensonTHOMPSON'S STATION, Tenn. – Authorities in Williamson County said a 67-year-old man with dementia has been found safe.
Craig Benson was last seen at his home in Thompson's Station around 11 p.m. Wednesday.
On Thursday morning, several agencies including the Tennessee Highway Patrol and their helicopter were searching near Thompson's Station Road West near the old train depot in Thompson's Station.
Around 11 a.m. Thursday, THP Sgt. Brad Lund spotted Benson lying in a shallow hole behind a parking lot, where he apparently slept overnight.
Lund guided officers on the ground to where Benson was and they took him to a hospital for evaluation.
Authorities said Benson apparently became confused and couldn't find his way back to his home.
