NASHVILLE, Tenn- It's one of the most anticipated films of the year, and fans were lining up to be the first to see it. "The Dark Knight Rises" opens Thursday at midnight.

Crowds started forming at the Regal Opry Mills theater during the afternoon.  People have also been scalping opening night tickets on websites like Craigslist and Stub Hub for around $50 apiece.

This is the final film in director Christopher Nolan's popular trilogy.  It has already banked $25 million in advance ticket sales nationwide, and is expected to make around $198 million during its opening weekend.  "The Dark Knight" racked up an opening weekend total of $158 million.

The Regal Opry Mills has shows almost every half hour through the night and Friday.  Theater employees recommend customers buy tickets online, and arrive early.
