GALLATIN, Tenn.- Officials
say another woman has become a purse snatching victim this week.
Gallatin Police Department
said they are looking for the suspects wanted in a purse snatching at the Food
Lion at 471 E. Main Street. Around 2:00 Friday afternoon, police say the victim
reported she was locking her vehicle at the Food Lion when a female suspect
with blond hair in a ponytail snatched her billfold out of her hand. The
suspect then jumped into a rusted, dark
blue Honda with a male driver. The car was last seen headed east on Hartsville
Pike.
Police said this theft is similar
in nature to a purse snatching that happened Tuesday at a Kroger parking lot in
Lebanon. Lebanon police said the victim was outside the store on West
Main Street on Tuesday night loading her groceries into her vehicle. A woman
approached her from behind, and told her to give up her purse or she would be
harmed. The suspect grabbed her purse, but the victim fought back.
Eventually, the robber was able to get the purse away
from the woman. The woman got into a dark colored, four-door sedan with tinted
windows. It was also driven by a male accomplice.
The
Gallatin Police Department is asking anyone with information on the identity or
location of the suspects involved in recent purse to call the Gallatin Police
