SMYRNA, Tenn.- A Smyrna pastor caught on tape trying to burglarize a church member's home, won't spend any time behind bars.

In 2011, a church member recorded video in her kitchen with a hidden camera. Police say it shows Rickey Reed's unsuccessful attempt to get inside the home. Detectives say the pastor did break in several times before and stole Lortabs.

A judge sentenced Rickey Alan Reed, 55, to four years diversion. Instead of serving jail time, he will either perform community service, make restitution for damage caused by the crime, or some other punishment.

Reed is now a part-time pastor at Living Faith Ministries and a pizza delivery man.
