Road Closures Could Affect Morning Drive In Oak Hill

Posted: Updated:

NASHVILLE, Tenn. - Road closures may make the Monday morning commute difficult for people in the Oak Hill area.

Starting Monday morning, Battery Lane between Lealand Lane and Granny White Pike will be temporarily shut down. TDOT will start the first phase of construction to replace the Battery Lane Bridge over West Fork Brown's Creek.

Battery Lane will be closed until Friday. Detours will be in place.

The project, managed by TDOT, costs $618,071.

The bridge replacement project will not begin until mid-2013 and will require the total closure of a section of Battery Lane.

The closure will affect more than 14,000 who drive over the West Fork Brown's Creek every day. The existing bridge was constructed in 1956.
